Ms. Irene Tsang
Irene is a native of Hong Kong. She has spent her formative years in Canada and returned to Hong Kong in 1990 to begin her career in sales and marketing with CHANEL, then with Clinique China. Irene was also trained as an image consultant by John Robert Powers in Boston and in the Philippines.
In 1996, Irene joined Cathay Pacific Airways as a Training Specialist and at the same time discovered her passion in facilitation and personal development. She is known as an intuitive facilitator and one who could gracefully translate complex concepts into actions that participants can easily relate to. By working in Asia, North America and Europe, Irene has also gained and enjoyed the exposure to different cultures and backgrounds. Her proven ability in translating vision and strategy into actions, and of galvanizing individuals and teams irrespective of status, personality, or culture helped her achieve success as the first Regional Training Manager for Tiffany & Co. in Asia Pacific when she joined in 2003.
At the time she left Tiffany & Co. in 2014 as Head of Education & Development for the Asia Pacific region, Irene hassupported the rapid growth of the regional markets by defining training strategy and provided coaching and management for the development of trainers and coaches in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia. Irene’s close work with business units and market leaders makes her a highly effective learning and development professional.
From 2007 to 2010, as Sales & Operations Director for Tiffany Hong Kong and Macau, Irene successfully championed organizational restructuring in a rapidly changing environment; focusing on sales performance, strategic planning, personnel management, budget and operations. She was responsible for leading and managing a sales team of over one hundred members plus a customer service team.
Since 2014 Irene has been working as an independent facilitator and coach. A Transcend Certified Professional Coach, Irene works with the principles of transformational coaching helping her clients to make changes by realizing their goals and potential. She believes authenticity and kindness defines influential leadership and drives commercial success.
Irene enjoys performing arts and writing. She was the first Hong Kong champion of Asia Pacific Public Speaking Competition organized by the Junior Chamber of Commerce in 1993. Irene won the SCMP/RTHK Top Story Competition in 2013 and has since published short stories and plays. Irene is a board member of Theater du pif, a Hong Kong based bilingual theatre group. She is the Chair of Professional Development for McGill Society of Hong Kong from 2016-2019. She also gives talks and seminars for secondary and tertiary educational institutions for career navigation.
Since establishing her own coaching and training practice Irene has engaged in a wide range of projects with clients across many different industries in both public and private sectors and NGOs. These projects have included design and delivery of workshops aimed at helping organizations to be more effective in relationship- building and team leadership, workshops to embrace organizational change, facilitation of leadership workshops in strategy-building, as well as coaching for individuals and small groups.
